10. AI Model Providers and Data Use

We partner with third‑party AI model providers to power certain features. We transmit only the content you submit for inference and do not allow these providers to use your content for their own model training. We enable available enterprise controls such as zero‑data‑retention and no‑training flags. Below are provider‑specific details and references to their privacy pages.

A. OpenAI

  • Purpose: Prompt and context processing to generate model outputs (inference) only.
  • Training: We do not opt in to allow OpenAI to use our API data for training. OpenAI states customer API data is not used to train models unless customers opt in.

  • Policy reference: OpenAI Privacy Policy.

B. Anthropic

  • Purpose: Prompt and context processing to generate Claude outputs (inference) only.
  • Training: We configure Anthropic Enterprise controls to disable training on customer inputs and outputs where available.

  • Policy reference: Google Gemini API data use.

D. Mistral

  • Purpose: Prompt and context processing to generate model outputs (inference) only.
  • Training: We do not allow use of our API data to train Mistral models.
  • Retention: We request minimal or zero retention as supported for enterprise/API use.
  • Policy reference: Mistral Privacy/Terms.

E. Perplexity

  • Retention: We request minimal retention consistent with abuse prevention and reliability.
  • Policy reference: Perplexity Privacy Policy.

F. Google Cloud Platform (GCP) usage and model training assurances

  • Hosting and Processing: Our infrastructure runs on GCP. Application logs and telemetry are stored in our cloud accounts, under our control, and protected by encryption both in transit and at rest.
  • No training on GCP customer data: We do not use data obtained from GCP APIs or your GCP resources to train third-party models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity, Mistral) or our own foundation models. We share with model providers only the prompts and context you explicitly submit for inference.
  • Secret handling: We do not transmit GCP credentials, keys, or tokens to model providers. We apply field-level redaction and allow you to review prompt context before sending it.
  • Regional controls: Where feasible, we select regional endpoints and data residency options offered by each provider to align with your compliance needs.

G. Use of AI/LLM Services: Data Flow

  • User-initiated only. AI processing occurs only when a user invokes a specific feature (e.g., summarize, rewrite, extract). There is no automated background processing.
  • Minimised prompts. Only the text necessary for the request (e.g., the body of a selected email or document section) is sent, excluding unrelated content where feasible.
  • Stateless processing. Content is transmitted via secure APIs to the LLM provider to generate the output, then discarded after fulfillment. Persistent profiles are not built from Workspace content.
  • No model training. Google Workspace data or user prompts/outputs are not used to train or improve any models. The LLM providers' enterprise policies prohibit using API data for training or model improvement.
  • No retention beyond fulfillment. Google Workspace content is not retained beyond what is required to deliver the requested feature. Outputs are stored only where the user directs (e.g., back to a Google file) or shown transiently on screen.

H. Google API Permissions (Scopes and Purposes)

We request only the minimum Google OAuth scopes required for each feature. Where possible, we use read-only scopes. The scopes shown to you on Google's consent screen correspond to the specific features you choose to enable.

    Google Calendar

    • calendar.readonly- Read your events to avoid conflicts when suggesting times. We do not modify or delete events.
    • calendar and calendar.events - Create/modify events only when you schedule tasks or meetings in turgo.

    • documents – Insert AI‑generated text you request (e.g., summaries, copy) into your docs

    Google Sheets

    • spreadsheets.readonly – Read sheets to analyse data or extract values.
    • spreadsheets – Read/write when you ask us to populate or update sheets with AI‑generated insights.

    Google Drive

    • drive.readonly – Read files as context for AI features when you choose them.
    • drive – Upload or store AI‑generated files (e.g., presentations) in your Drive when you request it.

    YouTube

    • youtube.upload – Used only when you choose to publish AI‑generated videos directly to your channel.

    Gmail

    • gmail.readonly – Read specific messages to generate summaries or suggested responses; we do not alter or delete messages
    • https://mail.google.com/ and gmail.compose – Draft and send emails you explicitly request; we do not read or store other messages beyond those drafts.

Compliance statement. turgo never transfers Google Workspace user data (emails, calendar events, documents, etc.) to any third‑party AI/ML service for the purpose of training or improving a generalised model. We only send user‑provided text to an LLM provider to generate a response requested by the user, and those providers’ policies prohibit training on or retaining this data. We do not sell or share user data with any other third party.

If you require strict zero‑retention, provider allow‑listing, or tenant‑isolated routing, please contact us at tech@turgo.ai to enable enterprise controls for your workspace.
