A pod is a group of agents that share state and coordinate work. Common pod patterns: outbound + nurture (SDR + Marketing Agent), inbound + outbound (BDR + SDR), full-funnel (SDR + Marketing + Voice). Pods avoid the prospect getting hit by multiple agents at cross purposes.
Why pods matter
If you have multiple agents running independently, prospects can receive contradictory messages — the SDR cold-emails them on Tuesday while the marketing agent ships them a newsletter on Wednesday with a different CTA. Pods coordinate the work so each prospect sees one coherent agent at a time.
Common pod patterns
- Outbound + Nurture pod — AI SDR + AI Marketing Agent. The SDR works cold; if there's no reply after the sequence, the prospect moves to long-term nurture via the Marketing Agent.
- Inbound + Outbound pod — AI BDR + AI SDR. The BDR handles inbound MQLs; the SDR handles cold outbound to non-MQL ICP accounts.
- Full-funnel pod — SDR + Marketing + Voice. SDR cold outreach, Marketing for nurture, Voice for high-intent follow-up.
Setting up a pod
Agents → Pods → New Pod. Select the agents to include and the pod orchestration rule. The orchestrator decides which agent owns each prospect at each moment based on the rule.
Pod orchestration rules
The default rule: only one agent engages a given prospect at a time, with handoffs between agents based on signal changes. Advanced rules can let two agents engage simultaneously (e.g. SDR email + Voice scheduler for the same hot lead).
