For PLG motions, your product is the best signal source. Push usage events to turgo via the /signals API so the agent acts the moment a user hits an activation or expansion trigger — self-serve behavior becomes sales-assisted at exactly the right time.
Why product signals win
A user who just crossed an activation threshold, invited teammates, or hit a plan limit is showing intent no third-party signal can match. Product-led signals are first-party, real-time, and specific — the highest-leverage input a PLG team has.
Fire signals via the API
POST /signals turns your product events into turgo triggers (see Core endpoints reference). Send the event, the account/contact identity, and any context; the agent picks it up and acts. This is the most valuable endpoint for PLG teams because it closes the loop between product usage and outreach.
Pick the moments that matter
Don't fire on every click. Choose the handful of behaviors that correlate with expansion or readiness — hitting a usage limit, activating a key feature, adding seats — and wire each to a distinct, relevant motion (see Signal-triggered plays).
Blend with sales context
Product signals are strongest combined with firmographics and account context: the same usage event means something different at a 20-person startup than a 5,000-person enterprise. Let the agent reason over both to prioritize and personalize.
