Different fields refresh on different cadences. Hot fields (intent signals, job changes) refresh near-real-time. Standard fields (firmographics, technographics) refresh weekly. Cold fields (industry codes, founding date) refresh quarterly. You can override per source.
Default refresh cadences
- Real-time (sub-hour) — intent signals, surge data, product events.
- Daily — job changes, news mentions, funding announcements.
- Weekly — firmographics (size, revenue), contact details (phone, email).
- Monthly — technographics (tech stack).
- Quarterly — slow-moving fields (industry codes, founding year, HQ location).
Why differential cadences
Refresh costs money (most sources charge per query). Refreshing slow-moving fields daily wastes budget; refreshing fast-moving fields weekly misses signals. The differential cadence optimizes for value-per-query.
Customizing per source
Some sources have stronger or weaker freshness per field. Settings → Sources → [Source] → Refresh Cadence per Field. Tune up or down based on your observed value.
Force-refresh a specific record
Open the record → click Refresh. Triggers all enabled sources to re-pull current values for this entity. Useful when a record looks stale or when you're preparing for a high-touch interaction.
Monitoring freshness
Reports → Data Freshness. Shows per-field age distributions — what % of records have fresh data, what % are aging. Drift signals when refresh cadence needs to change.
