Disconnect or replace a mailbox

TL;DR

Disconnecting pauses its conversations and reassigns future sends to the pool. Replacement mailboxes take over new conversations immediately but old threads stay with the original mailbox where possible.

Disconnect cleanly

Settings → Mailboxes → [mailbox] → Disconnect. In-flight conversations pause with a prompt: reassign to pool (replies route to the new sender with context) or close gracefully (breakup note from the new mailbox).

Replacing

Add the replacement first, let it warm, then disconnect the old one. This keeps pool capacity stable. A direct swap without warm-up drops your safe daily volume for two weeks.

What's preserved

All history — sends, replies, timeline entries — remains attached to accounts and reportable. Disconnection removes sending capability, not data.

Departing employees

When a rep leaves: disconnect their mailbox and reassign conversations to the pool. Their prospects receive continuity from a teammate's mailbox, with the agent handling the transition messaging.
