Pause rules and exit conditions

TL;DR

Exit conditions remove prospects from a sequence (reply, meeting, opt-out); pause rules temporarily hold them (OOO, holiday). Configure both per sequence — defaults cover the standard cases.

Default exits

Any reply, meeting booked, opt-out, hard bounce, and suppression-list addition all exit the prospect immediately. These are enforced always — a prospect who replied never gets step 4.

Custom exits

Add exits like: became an open opportunity in CRM, matched a disqualifying signal, or account owner changed. Configure in Sequences → [sequence] → Exit Rules.

Pause rules

Out-of-office replies auto-pause the prospect until the detected return date plus one day. Company-level pauses (holiday freeze, event blackout) are set at the workspace level and apply across sequences.

Re-entry

Exited prospects can re-enter sequences after a cooling period (default 90 days) unless the exit was opt-out or suppression — those are permanent. Configure cooling in workspace sending rules.
