TL;DR

By default, Golden DB data is stored in US-East. EU and APAC residency options available on Enterprise plans. Encryption at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3) are always on. SOC 2 Type II audit-attested.

Default storage region

US-East (Virginia, USA). All Golden DB data, agent activity logs, and account artifacts are stored here unless explicitly configured otherwise. Storage is multi-AZ with continuous backups.

EU residency

Available on Enterprise plans. Data stored in EU-Central (Frankfurt). Required for many EU customers under GDPR. Migration from US to EU is one-time; no ongoing duplication.

APAC residency

Available on Enterprise plans. Data stored in AP-Southeast (Sydney). Less common; typically required for AU/NZ government and financial services customers.

Encryption details

  • At rest: AES-256 with managed keys (KMS). Bring-your-own-key (BYOK) available on Enterprise.
  • In transit: TLS 1.3 minimum for all API and database connections. End-to-end encryption optional for highly-regulated workloads.

Compliance attestations

  • SOC 2 Type II (annual).
  • ISO 27001 (2025).
  • GDPR Article 28 compliant.
  • CCPA compliant.
  • HIPAA-eligible (BAA available on Enterprise).
