OOO replies auto-pause the prospect until the detected return date plus one buffer day, then resume the sequence where it left off. No manual handling needed.
Detection and parsing
The classifier recognizes OOO replies in all major languages and extracts the return date when stated. No date found → default pause of 7 days.
What happens to the sequence
The prospect pauses (not exits). On resume, the agent evaluates context: if the next step is stale, it regenerates; if the account fired new signals during the pause, the angle updates.
Useful intel in OOOs
OOO messages often name a delegate ("contact Priya"). The agent logs the delegate to the account and can optionally add them to the sequence — toggle in Reply Handling settings.
Metrics hygiene
OOO replies are excluded from reply-rate metrics so they don't flatter your numbers. They show separately in the report as paused-OOO.
