Each provider fill carries a confidence score. Thresholds decide what's accepted, what falls through to the next provider, and what gets flagged for review. Higher thresholds = cleaner data, lower fill rates.
How confidence works
Providers return a confidence score per field (or turgo derives it from source-quality history). A fill below your threshold isn't accepted — the cascade continues to the next provider.
Recommended defaults
- Email — 90+ (bad emails damage sender reputation).
- Phone — 85+.
- Firmographics — 70+.
- Titles — 75+.
These defaults balance quality and coverage for most B2B motions.
Per-field tuning
Data → Enrichment → Thresholds. Raise thresholds on fields where errors are expensive (email, compliance-relevant fields); lower them on fields where a rough value beats no value (employee-count bands).
What happens below threshold
Below-threshold fills are stored as "candidate values" — visible in the record's provenance panel but not promoted to the Golden Record. If two providers agree on a candidate value, it can auto-promote.
