Connect your first mailbox

TL;DR

Connect a Gmail or Outlook mailbox via OAuth. turgo checks deliverability health automatically. If the mailbox is new or hasn't sent recently, it goes into warm-up mode before agents can send at scale.

Connect a Gmail / Google Workspace mailbox

  1. Settings → Mailboxes → Connect Mailbox → Google Workspace.
  2. Authorize via OAuth (the account holder must do this — not an admin on their behalf).
  3. Grant the requested scopes: send mail, read replies, read settings.
  4. Wait for the health check (usually under 60 seconds).

Connect a Microsoft 365 / Outlook mailbox

  1. Settings → Mailboxes → Connect Mailbox → Microsoft 365.
  2. Authorize via OAuth.
  3. Grant the requested scopes: Mail.Send, Mail.Read, MailboxSettings.Read.
  4. Wait for the health check.

Understanding mailbox health

  • Health: Good (green) — mailbox is warmed and ready for production sending.
  • Health: Warming (amber) — mailbox needs warm-up before high-volume sending. Auto warm-up is on; ~14 days.
  • Health: At Risk (red) — deliverability has dropped. Agent pauses sending automatically. See Why is my mailbox throttled?

Verify SPF, DKIM, and DMARC

After connecting, check Settings → Mailboxes → [Mailbox] → Authentication. All three should be green. If any are red, see Set up SPF, DKIM, DMARC. Don't skip this — bad authentication kills deliverability immediately.
