Migrate sequences from another tool

Collection Sequences & OutreachReading time 3 minUpdated Jul 2026
TL;DR

Import sequences from Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo, and CSV. Structure imports cleanly; copy needs rework because turgo personalizes at send time instead of relying on static templates.

Import paths

Sequences → Import. Native importers for Outreach, Salesloft, and Apollo (OAuth connect, pick sequences, import). Anything else: CSV/JSON with the documented schema.

What imports cleanly

Step structure, timing gaps, channel mix, and A/B variants. Exit conditions map approximately — review them, since platforms define exits differently.

What needs rework

Static token-heavy copy ("Hi {{first_name}}, I saw {{company}} is...") should be rewritten as angle guidance for the agent. Keep the message intent, drop the merge-field scaffolding.

Parallel run

Run the migrated sequence in turgo on a slice of the audience alongside the legacy tool for two weeks. Compare reply rates before cutting over fully — it de-risks the migration and usually demonstrates the lift.
