Sequence templates explained

TL;DR

Templates are proven sequence structures: cadence, channel mix, and message angles. Start from a template, customize the copy, keep the structure until data tells you otherwise.

The template library

Sequences → Templates. Categories: cold outbound (standard/aggressive/patient), signal-triggered (funding, hiring, job change, intent), inbound follow-up, re-engagement, and ABM 1:1.

What a template defines

Step count, timing gaps, channel per step, message angle per step (opener, value-add, proof, direct ask, breakup), and exit conditions. All editable after cloning.

Choosing the right one

Match template to motion: signal-triggered templates for hot accounts, standard cold for ICP volume, patient cadence for enterprise. The template descriptions state the intended use and expected benchmarks.

Custom templates

Save any sequence as a team template with Sequences → [sequence] → Save as Template. Good practice: one blessed template per motion, versioned, owned by whoever runs that motion.
