Data Enrichment
What is Data Enrichment?
Enrichment is the broader sibling of append: where append fills in fields you didn't have, enrichment refreshes fields whose values may have aged out and adds entirely new attribute categories (intent signals, technographics, hiring data) that the original record never had. Modern enrichment is layered: a base provider for firmographics, a specialist for technographics, an intent provider for buying signals, and increasingly a real-time signal layer that watches the public web for changes. The quality differential between providers is enormous — fit-for-purpose enrichment requires picking the right specialist per field, not paying one vendor for everything. Done well, enrichment turns thin leads into fully scored, fully routable prospects within seconds of capture.
Why it matters
- Turns thin inbound leads into actionable, fully-scored records.
- Keeps the database fresh as roles change and companies evolve.
- Enables ICP scoring and persona-fit targeting that thin records can't support.
Use cases
- Form-fill enrichment. Every form submit enriched in real time before lead scoring.
- Continuous refresh. Titles and roles re-enriched quarterly to catch job changes.
- Intent enrichment. Accounts enriched with intent signals to flag active-research mode.
How turgo helps
turgo's enrichment layer is multi-source by default — picking the highest-confidence value per field across connected providers and refreshing on a cadence that matches each field's natural decay rate.
